Stagnant and especially shallow water can become a source of nuisance with rising outdoor temperatures.
In particular, public water in cities, parks, campgrounds and other recreational areas face a diversity of problems during warmer periods.
In addition to fish mortality due to lack of oxygen, examples include water that starts to smell, mosquito infestations and excessive algae growth, such as blue-green algae, which can even lead to a swimming ban
Mixers develop streams of water in which oxygen joins and is rich in nutrients, in which aquatic life in public waters can develop much better.
Storage water and recycling water for industrial/Agri industry must be kept in circulation to avoid warming and algae growth, which can cause malfunctions in aquifer systems and irrigation equipment. Good circulation helps prevent dirt build-up and gas formation from organic decomposition of soil debris.
Mixers and aerators are equipped with propeller impellers, with little power large amounts of water are set in motion and aerated. In public waters, the use of these devices is also seasonal and certainly does not need to remain in operation the entire year. However, the motors are suitable for continuous operation and can be used in fresh and sea water. With proper use and a short annual technical inspection, the economic life span is at least 10 years.
There is no problem keeping the systems in continuous operation, although this is not always necessary, this depends on the application. In winter, our systems are used to keep (public) water free of ice.
Blue-green algae are microscopic organisms found in freshwater. When the cells break down, the algae turn blue. Abundant presence of them is a sign that water quality is not right.
Some blue-green algae are toxic. If you swim in contaminated water, the toxins enter your body and you can get sick. Children are especially vulnerable because they may unknowingly ingest sips of water. Pets can also become seriously ill from drinking contaminated water or licking their infested fur.
The presence of blue-green algae can even lead to a ban on swimming, a measure we are hearing more and more in the news.
Water movement and aeration is crucial for improving water quality, contributes to better biodegradation of organic substances in the water ánd improves oxygenation. By mixing water layers and adding oxygen, water quality is significantly improved, temperature reduction takes place and algae does not have a chance to develop further. With permanently set up devices that start operating early in the year, you keep water quality in balance. It is not even necessary to keep the devices in continuous operation.
