Fish mortality control at public ponds with mixers and pond aerators, the 1st results!
Declining fish catches and fish mortality: two problems facing many Dutch fish ponds. The decline in food supply and water clarity are cited as the biggest causes. Sportvisserij Nederland started a trial in mid-2014 in cooperation with AUGA. Airflow propeller pumps were deployed in several fish ponds to test for a season what the effects are when using these installations. Meanwhile, the first test results are known and published in the trade journal Visionair.
