In recreational lake De Binnenschelde in Bergen op Zoom there has been a beautiful fountain for some time now, but it’s best to put it in the spotlight. The fountain was built by Fontis Watertechniek from Oud-Beijerland and is no less than 50 meters high.
Eelke Berends of Fontis also thought it was a beautiful and special project:
“This full beam fountain is controlled with 2 frequency controlled pumps of 15 kW each. The entire installation is made entirely of stainless steel 316 because the water quality requires this and, of course, a long service life must go without saying. In order to lay all the cables safely, a 200-meter long underwater bore was carried out by De Lange from Vroomshoop, specializing in underground infrastructure works such as cable and pipe work. The cables were pulled through a 100 mm thylene pipe.”
AUGA, as Fontana’s importer in the Netherlands, supplied 6 RGB LED floodlights with a total power of only 240 watts. These were needed to make it a true color feast, with infinite color variations, which are also capable of illuminating the entire fountain beam. A remarkable achievement compared to the very low power consumption.
Holland gets a little more color again with this beautiful fountain!
AUGA’s (RGB) LED floodlight program is comprehensive. The FONTANA “Smartled” floodlights are particularly applied when high demands are placed on lighting. Therefore, they are mainly found in various public and corporate projects. The higher price pays for itself in the extremely long lifetime and high efficiency generated by these floodlights.
AUGA also produces its own (RGB) LED floodlights, equipped with Cree® LED modules from the U.S.A., the pinnacle of LED technology. The housing of the AUGA floodlights is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic. The prices of these lights have thus become accessible to a wide audience, with quality and low power consumption remaining undiminished.
