Met slechts 1,5 kW motorvermogen verplaatst elk apparaat zo\u2019n 3000 m3 water per uur!\u00a0En dat is hard nodig om\u00a0grote\u00a0\u2013vaak stilstaande\u00a0\u2013\u00a0waterpartijen\u00a0in beweging te krijgen.\u00a0Waarom dat nodig is, leggen we graag uit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Er is een groeiende berichtgeving over de kwaliteit van openbare wateren, helaas niet altijd in positieve zin. Oorzaken lopen uiteen, maar klimaatverandering eist z\u2019n aandeel hierin. Stijgende temperaturen en hevige stortbuien be\u00efnvloeden de waterkwaliteit en zorgen voor de nodige problemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er bestaat een grote verscheidenheid aan oppervlaktewater, zoals stilstaand en stromend water, zoet, zout en brak water, wateren die wel of niet ge\u00efsoleerd zijn en in grootte vari\u00ebrend van kleine sloten tot heel grote meren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De bovenlaag van stilstaand of slecht doorstromend water warmt snel op als de buitentemperatuur gaat pieken. Vissterfte door zuurstofgebrek, water dat gaat stinken, muggenplagen en overdadige algengroei zijn de meest voorkomende \u2013 en steeds weer terugkerende \u2013 problemen bij openbare wateren in steden en parken en bij (zwem)water van campings en recreatieterreinen. Die kunnen zelfs te maken krijgen met een zwemverbod als een blauwalgenplaag de kop opsteekt, een uiterst onwenselijke en ongezonde situatie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In stedelijke omgevingen wordt regenwater nog steeds veelvuldig afgevoerd via het rioleringsstelsel die overbelast raakt bij een flinke stortbui, met als gevolg dat noodoverlopen in werking treden die in openbaar water lozen. Het geloosde regen\/rioolwater leidt tot een acute zuurstofdip in het water waarbij vissen massaal het loodje leggen. Bij dergelijke acute situaties moet de brandweer opdraven om met pompen het water in beweging te krijgen voor zuurstofverrijking. Een permanente oplossing om de waterkwaliteit te verbeteren is de betere optie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De twee MegaFlow propellerpompen die onze monteur met veel plezier heeft samengebouwd, zijn voor een Belgisch project om een enorme vijver in beweging te zetten, die een jaarlijks terugkerend probleem met eendenkroos heeft. De MegaFlow apparaten maken onderdeel uit van een totaalplan om definitief van het hardnekkige kroosprobleem af te komen.
