AUGA has long been building fountains of all sizes and types. In many cases, we supply fountains “off the shelf”; series-built fountain sets in floating or fixed design, delivered quickly and at a favorable price because we have components manufactured in quantities.
However, we also regularly build “custom-made” installations, adapted to the client’s requirements.
In this case for Waterschap Zuid-Limburg. The desired modification was relatively simple; a new fountain set with a custom-made base, whose pump could be easily disconnected from the frame.
Maintenance intervals become a lot easier with this. The frame remains in the water, the pump can be disconnected. The new fountain was replacement for an old system, which got stuck in silt bottom. Although the bottom under the silt bottom was paved, the old fountain sucked itself into the silt and could only be hoisted out of the pond by machine power.
This is not only uncomfortable work, but also very bad for pumps set up so close to a silt layer.
The new undercarriage offers more security because the pump is positioned higher in the water and cannot suck in bottom sludge. Moreover, preventive maintenance is a lot easier to perform.
The fountain is equipped with a 2.2 kW submersible pump and a 19-jet volcano nozzle with a fountain image of approximately 8 meters high. An elegant and voluminous fountain image.
